Wilder also thought the fight could happen in Africa. The fact that Hearn would dismiss the fight if it does not happen in Saudi Arabia signifies that Joshua’s team is ducking Wilder.

Another matter of importance is Tyson Fury’s current place in boxing. Fury has expressed his desire for big money fights. Such desire suggests that Fury is focusing on currency over legacy. It’s a smart move in terms of financial gain and conservation of health but not in terms of boxing legacy.

Should boxing be governed by one association in order for the best to fight the best? The reason for which the UFC has the best fighting the best is because all the fighters are under one umbrella. The reason for the PBC being the best suited for being this umbrella for boxing is because the PBC is structured like an association and is not a promotional company like Top Rank. Every fighter is their own business (promotional company) in the PBC. We should not care which association becomes the umbrella but, for now, PBC is a possible candidate to do so.
