Wilder Is Now A Free Agent!

Deontay Wilder has declared that he is now a free agent and has full control of his career. He has also made it clear that his relationship with Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) is still present yet he is willing to work with anyone to make a fight. Becoming a free agent should be more popular among boxers since recent fighters who are now free agents (e.g., Canelo Alvarez and Devin Haney) have had great success in boxing achievements and in financial gains.

After the update on the Tank Davis legal situation, his anticipated fight against Ryan Garcia is very close to being finalized. Oscar De La Hoya confirmed that the remaining step for the fight to be officially announced is for the PBC to make the final revisions of the fight contract.

On other news:

  • Bob Arum has expressed his desire for making potential match ups between Haney, Lomachenko and Stevenson.

  • Jake Paul will become ranked by the WBC in the cruiserweight division if he were to defeat Tommy Fury.

  • Francis Ngannou and Deontay Wilder potentially could fight each other in a boxing match although Wilder has also presented interest in a MMA match between the two.
